A.OBJECTIVE
To attract & develop normal pupils & teachers from all backgrounds so as to serve a meritocratic Vizag, A.P., India & the World.
B.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN OUR PROSPECTIVE PUPILS OF CLASSES 6, 7 & 8:
1. General proficiency in English & Mathematics. (A placement test may be done on arrival to ascertain the level of proficiency.)
2. Curiosity, inspiration, focus (no "ADHD") (a normal child), a desire to learn.
3. A willingness to question what they know & look beyond themselves.
4. Prepared to make a guess & apply what they know to something unfamiliar, New situation.
5. Not afraid of being wrong.
6. Prepared to make an estimate of some weight or area or volume of an object in the room.
7.What they enjoy doing with their time, space.
8. Demonstrations of critical thinking, reasoning, improvement.
9. Recognition of divergent views in discussions.
10. Listening to others, sharing an opinion, & finding out what others think, i.e., teamwork.
11. Are they able to read & follow instructions?
12. Can they read an article & understand the order of events?
13. Are they able to engage with what they read?
14. Can they express themselves (their thoughts, feelings, attitudes, actions) clearly?
15. Can they show their understanding in 'SRT' (Situation Reaction Test), & in TAT (Thematic Apperception Test)?
16. Do they have a sense of logic, cause & effect, willingness to take a risk, some spark of creativity?
17. Can they turn a visual representation into words?
18. Can they spot patterns & make connections?
19. Can they represent & interpret data?
20. Can they 'brief & debrief' or 'recognise' the societal roles & responsibilities?
21. Can they distinguish fact from opinion & judgment?
22. Can they justify their own view?
23. Do they have the sense of ethics & empathy?
C. WHAT WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR IN OUR PROSPECTIVE PUPILS OF CLASSES 6, 7 & 8:-
1. Trained parrots who have been at the receiving end of "private tutors" / "coaching institutes" to help them solve their problems or do their assignments / projects / "labs" / "essays" / "knowledge" or help them "crack" the standardized tests / interviews.
2. Parents ought to invest their high-quality time in the higher-quality education care of their kid, i.e., 'professionally' trying to prime their kid with the thematics of the "piece" i.e. underlying concepts / principles / applications via brainstormings rather than 'waste' their money in private coachings!
D. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN PROSPECTIVE PARENTS:-
1. Prepared to work with the School & pull (your) weight.
2. Prepared to strike a balance between being a Velcro parent (helicopter parent i.e. overprotective parent) & a ghost.
3. Prepared to support your kid & support your School through difficult times.
4. Prepared to suppress your frustrated ambitions & let your kid be himself / herself.
5. Prepared to deflect rumour & find out the facts from the School.
E. WHAT WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR IN PARENTS:-
1. Do you believe your kid is almost perfect?
2. Do you like rules & regulations until your kid breaks them?
3. Are you happy gossiping about the School to anyone, but reluctant to talk to the head?
4. Do you go off the deep end when someone criticizes your kid?
5. Are you an expert because you went to school / college / university?
